And David ran toward him.

That is the story. Not just that the underdog won - but that he ran toward the thing that terrified everyone around him. He didn't wait for perfect conditions. He didn't wait for permission. He encouraged himself when no one else would, trusted that he was equipped for the moment, and moved.

Whatever giant is standing in front of you right now - whatever dream seems too big, whatever obstacle seems impossible, whatever voice tells you it can't be done - David's answer is the same: run toward it. The moment you overcome fear, your opponent is bankrupt. You have all you need. Get up and run after it.
