Office Space captured something real: the soul-crushing reality of corporate work that has no meaning, no autonomy, and no end. "Every day I come in is the worst day of my life." That line landed because millions of people felt it. The movie became a cult classic not because it was fantasy - but because it was documentary.
The path out of the Ordinary World of bad work is the Hero's Journey. You have to be willing to leave the comfort of the known - the paycheck, the title, the cubicle - and follow something that actually matters. That is not easy. But as the movie shows, staying is worse.
Our founder went to Burning Man 2011 when there was a giant Trojan Horse (see video below). His camp theme was smashing a printer with a baseball bat based on the Office Space scene.
